Cindy the Pom with T (AKC/ASCA Ch. Peridot's Just The Ticket CGC)

February 4, 1996 - July 13, 2008

Pomeranians have long been my passion when my husband brought me home a 'peace offering' that laid down in the palm of my hand and only weighed 3/4 of a pound. That was Cindy. Bryan's Midnight Cinderella, and I have never loved a dog more.  We have no idea who her parents are, or her bloodlines as she was from a puppy mill/backyard breeder.

She is my constant shadow, my heart dog. I swear to you this dog can read my mind!

We began looking for a quality Pomeranian several years ago. Over the past year and a half we were led to many wonderful Pom breeders who are very knowledgable about their breed, and we are currently on a waiting list for our first little quality fuzz ball. While we love Pom's to no end, we currenty do not plan on breeding, until we have been able to learn the pedigrees to research for genetic qualities that will benefit the breed, while maintaining the proper structure, movement, personality and overall health. You see, Pom's have lots of health issues that they are suseptible to and I can assure you, Cindy has had nearly all of them. Her luchious beautiful coat shown up above is no more. Not only does she have a chronic Thyroid problem, but she also has Black Skin Disease, a severly (and continuously) luxating patella (going on 2 surgeries now), bad kidney's, Cushings Disease (brought on by steroid shots due to her Cataracts and Glaucoma), and many many missing teeth due to just bad oral genes.

Even given all of Cindy's problems, she has attended every AKC and ASCA show (our breed club for Aussies), National shows, and she has been a constant mascot for everyone there. She has been used many times to play jokes on judges, by walking in to our Aussies Special ring...strutting her stuff like she was born to be there.

there is a tiny thing of cheese under the purple brush.

Yeah, she got it over there to her and then got to eat it. :O)
