we've been up to....

October 6 - 7th, 2007:
We went up to the Humble AKC show and had a fabulous weekend! On Friday night at the B-Match, Mallori showed Drew (Top Rails EweLookNAtMe? Mjr Ptd ASCA) in Juniors for the first time (and his 3rd ever show!) and they did GREAT! Great enough to win Best Junior over a really good Open Junior!
On Saturday at the regular show, we're pleased to say that Drew took RWD to the male that not only went WD, but BOB and a Group 3, so we were pretty pleased with that win! The show grounds were extremely hot, and poor Drew coming in from the North was not impressed with all the lack of any airflow, but he still showed like a trooper!
Mallori showed Gabby (Shoreland's Believe It Baby! Mjr Ptd AKC/ASCA Ptd) in Juniors on Sunday with a HUGE entry! She got her 2nd win from the Novice Class and has one more to go before she moves up to Open in AKC. She handled Gabby very well and all that showing in ASCA got her several second glances from the judge during Best Junior!
September 1 - 2nd, 2007:
We went out to Alabama to visit some friends and family and to support the new ASCA club out there (North Alabama Australian Shepherd Association). It was definitely worth our drive!
We showed our girl, Gabby (Shoreland's Believe It Baby! Mjr Ptd AKC) to WB/BOW at 3 of the 4 shows, and Mallori showed her at the 4th show to a RWB! This was Mallori's first time to get an award from the classes.
Mallori also showed Gabby in Juniors and we are very proud to say that she came home with 3 BEST JUNIORS and 1 Reserve Best Junior! She did so wonderful and we are very, very proud of her!
To top the weekend off, we showed our Tristan son, Drew (Top Rails EweLookNAtMe?) for his 2nd ASCA show and he was much more relaxed and showed wonderfully taking a RWD to the boy that went BOB, and then on Sunday, took WD/BOW/BOS for a major! We are very pleased with how Drew has settled in and he has become just an absolute ball to show!
August 17 - 20th:
What a weekend! We went up to Brenham for the New Hope ASCA Show and had a FABULOUS time! On Friday night Lesley showed her sisters dog, Emmit (Tristan x Checkers) to a Reserve BJH. On Saturday morning, Trevor (Peridots Rock Me To Talis) showed in Altered and not only took WD, but took BOW and BOB over specials for a major!! Trevor repeated his WD win at the PM show for another major, bringing his total points to 12 with 2 majors. As if that wasn't enough, the evening got even better when Lesley showed Emmit to WD to finish his Championship and make him the FIRST Thornbury Bred By Champion and Tristan's first ASCA Champion! Emmit is now known as: ASCA Ch. Thornbury's Mr Emmitate Me!
On Sunday, Trevor showed in Altered again and took WD but the major broke, leaving our old man with 14 points! Very exciting! We nearly floated home!
July 7th, 2007:
We stayed home this weekend, but up in Dallas, Lesley and Tristan (AKC/ASCA Ch. Peridots IWannaTalkAboutMe! CGC CD) showed in both Juniors and in Obedience. We are very excited to say CONGRATULATIONS to Lesley and Tristan for their first Best Junior over a gigantic Junior Entry!! If that wasn't enough, they went and competed in Obedience and came home with their AKC CD! Way to go you two!!
June 22 - 24th:
We went over to Hutto for the Eastex show and had a FABULOUS weekend! On Friday night showing our girl Gabby (Shoreland's Believe It Baby! Mjr Ptd), over a huge Junior entry, our Mallori took BEST JUNIOR for her 2nd win! She was walking on clouds as these are the girls she's always looked up to!
At Saturday morning's show, Cesley showed her boy Emmit (Thornbury's Mr. Emmitate Me! Mjr Ptd) in Juniors and won Best Junior! At Saturday PM's show, Lesley showed her boy Tristan (ASCA/AKC Ch. Peridots IWannaTalkAboutMe! CD CGC) and received Reserve Best Junior. At Sunday's show, Lesley and Tristan handled their way to a Best Junior! It was a great weekend!
We took our old boy, Trevor (Peridots Rock Me To Talis AKC Mjr Ptd) to show in Altered and help not only our friend, Christi, work on her handling skills, but help to build a major for many! I'm very excited to say that Christi and Trevie handled their way to a MAJOR in Altered for Trevor's first major in ASCA at 7 ripe years of age! WOOO HOO!
May 26 - 27th:
Up at the HOTASC show in Rendon this weekend, we have some very exciting news to announce! Mallori showed Gabby (Shorelands Believe It Baby!) in Juniors and they won their FIRST BEST JUNIOR win on Sunday morning! We are soooo excited but probably not nearly as excited as Mallori is!! While they were up there, Cesley and Lesley Box helped us show Gabby and they earned a RWB on Sunday afternoon!
Cesley showed her Tristan son, Emmit (Thornbury's Mr. Emmitate Me! Mjr Ptd) in Juniors and received a RBJ at one show. Lesley showed Tristan (AKC/ASCA Ch. Peridots IWannaTalkAboutMe! CD CGC) in Juniors and received 2 Best Juniors out of the Weekend and a Reserve. We are very proud of all the girls and their dogs from this weekend!
April 27 - 29th:
We stayed in Houston this weekend, but back up at the Whitesboro ASAC show, Cesley and Lesley had a great weekend with their boys, Tristan (AKC/ASCA Ch. Peridots IWannaTalkAboutMe! CD CGC) and Emmit (Thornbury's Mr. Emmitate Me - 14 pts ASCA). At two of the shows, Lesley brought home two Best Junior wins, along with a Reserve Best Junior win! Cesley brought home two Reserve Best Juniors and one Best Junior win! Both of these girls did fantastic!
At Sunday's show, the only day Tristan was entered in Breed, Lesley showed Tristan to a very nice Best of Breed Win! What wins to drive home on!
March 16 - 18th:
What a wonderful weekend!! We went up to Whitesboro for the HOTASC ASCA show and had a fabulous time!! While there, we got lots of bragging to do. At Friday night's show, we are very happy to report that Cesley received Best Junior and Lesley and Tristan (AKC/ASCA Ch. Peridots IWannaTalkAboutMe! CD CGC) received Reserve Best Junior and also received another Reserve Best Junior at Sunday's show. At Saturday morning's show, they reversed the wins with Lesley and Tristan taking Best Junior and Cesley taking Reserve. Cesley also showed her Tristan son, Emmit (Thornbury's Mr Emmitate Me! 14 pts ASCA) after a long break from a torn ACL and we are very proud that he won his class and was pulled in the cut for WD! He also did very well in the remaining 2 shows and was consistently pulled for consideration. He's left chasing that one remaining point!
We are also very proud to brag on our own little girl, Mallori. She showed Gabby (Shoreland's Believe It Baby!) in the Novice Junior classes and got her 3 wins with competition to move up to the Open Junior class on Sunday! She did this in style for her first serious weekend of showing by taking a RESERVE BEST JUNIOR to one of the top Juniors! She was so excited she nearly fell over when the judge pointed to her!! Needless to say, she was walking on cloud 9 the rest of the weekend! Photos, of course, will be coming soon!
February 24 - 25th:
We had a fabulous weekend at the AKC show in Houston! Lesley and Tristan (AKC/ASCA Ch. Peridots IWannaTalkAboutMe! CD CGC) and we really enjoyed playing with him all weekend. He and Lesley showed in Juniors and placed both days in a very tough, large Open Intermediate class. On Saturday, our Mallori made her AKC Juniors Debut and did FABULOUS!! She showed Gabby (Shorelands Believe It Baby! Mjr Ptd) and they showed like they've been doing this since Day 1! While they didn't win on Saturday, they did get a 2nd and had competition. On Sunday, Mal won her Novice class, again with competition for one of her 3 needed to move up to Open! She did extremely well and we are very proud!
In the Breed Ring on Saturday, Gabby strutted her stuff to a RWB. While it wasn't for points, she showed fantastic and we were very pleased regardless!
February 9 - 11th:
What a weekend! We went to an ASCA show in Bryan and had a wonderful time! On Saturday, Tristan (AKC/ASCA Ch. Peridots IWannaTalkAboutMe! CGC) competed in Obedience and received 2 legs towards his ASCA CD! Not only did he and Lesley Q, but he received High In Trial Aussies at Saturday's PM show, and Lesley received High In Trial Junior! Over in the Juniors Ring, Lesley and Tristan took Best Junior at Friday night, Saturday morning, and Sunday's show, and received Reserve Best Junior on Saturday Night! On Sunday morning, Tristan took his 3rd and final time in the Obedience ring for the weekend and received another Q to earn his ASCA CD!!

Some very exciting news from the Glenrose AKC show! On Saturday, over a very large entry of Juniors, Cesley and her boy Emmit, won their Open Senior class!!! Emmit is Thornbury's Mr. Emmitate Me! Such wonderful accomplishments from both of these young ladies and their boys that we are looking forward to a very great new year!

On Sunday, Cesley made the cut again in Juniors and in Open Black, and Tristan made the cut in Breed. On Monday, Cesley again made the cut in Juniors! We are very proud!!
At the actual Nationals, in the Junior's Class, Cesley made the final cut in her Open Senior class!! Way to go!!! Her boy, Emmit, got 2nd place in the tough Open Black class at Nationals! We are very pleased with how both girls showed at Nationals this year!!

Congratulations again goes to Cesley and Lesley who have both made the ASCA 500 Club!!
While our computer was crashed from February to May, we've had lots of things happen with the Thornbury Gang. I just can't remember them all, so just know that Emmit got a WD in there, a couple of RWDs, Tristan got a BOB and several Junior's placements. :O)

February 10 - 12th:
We went up to the EasTex ASCA Show for the 5th year and boy it was a HUGE and wonderful show! We came back home completely exhausted, but had a wonderful time visiting with everyone! We had all eyes examined while we were there and are very happy to report all Normal/Normal's with no notations! (Tristan, Gabby, Lolly, Emmit). Cindy, our mascot Pom, wasn't quite so lucky, but was better than expected.
Onto the show. At Friday night's show, Tristan (Ch. Peridots IWannaTalkAboutMe! CGC) took BOS over some very nice Specials! He repeated his win on Sunday with another BOS over even more wonderful and beautiful specials. He did both of these wins under Breeder Judges, so we were very happy with that!

We are very proud of her as she is just recovering from a badly broken thumb, surgery on it, and all while it's still in a cast! There were some unbelievably good Juniors at the show this weekend, so these were some wonderful wins!
Up in Oregon, at the Albany AKC show, Lisa showed her Tristan son, Drew (Top Rail EweLookNAtMe?) at his 3rd show, and picked up a RWD to the major! Lisa showed him herself and this was her 2nd full blown AKC show. We are VERY proud of everyone this weekend!
