Missy with Gabby

January 6, 2008 - February 24, 2009

We got Missy on Valentine's Day in 2008. We knew that Cindy's time was coming to an end and my husband really wanted to make sure we had a fabulous little girl to help fill the void we knew was going to come. Missy was weaned early and we took her home at 5 wks due to complications with her mother. She slept on my bed every night, right by my head. She was a constant joy, entertained us and we absolutely adored her. Missy was taken from us much too early when she was killed by a neighbor's Pitt Bull that dug under our fence and got her. It was devastating and we still can't believe that she's gone.

This is one of my favorite pictures of her. She's quite well...but sleeping after a day of playing with Gabby. She didn't even budge when we covered her up.
